The Beaufort Pirate Invasion

The Spanish Attack of Beaufort started in the spring of 1747 and continued for several months until local militia finally drove the pirates away. In 1960, Grayden Paul and the Beaufort Fire Department reenacted that Invasion. Over the many years since, we have celebrated that part of our history and the Invasion has become Beaufort’s largest annual event. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, many events including our had to be cancelled, conversations with the Town concluded it would be better to have the event and others at Gallants Channel as to not crowd the downtown area. That and other issues as traffic and parking were considered. After a successful event last year at our new site, we are excited with a new layout with additional parking.  Join us this year at Gallants Channel for an all-new presentation of the Beaufort Pirate Invasion!
